Restaurant Piccolo - A local Gem

During my time living in Camposol, I have to say this is the restaurant I think has come on so much and is now a real challenger for a top spot on my personal favourites. 

Located on the commercial centre on B, next door to Branded Bedding Shop and a couple of doors down from Quick Save Supermarket, Restaurant Piccolo not only has a bright, clean and modern styled inside resturant but also a covered outside space - that is usable all year round and heated in the winter. 


With a very diverse menu of starters, main courses, pizzas, pastas, childrens meals and desserts there really is something for everyone and the standard and presentation of their food really is top notch!

In addition to their standard menu they also offer a Menu Del Dia for €12.50 and an early bird set menu for €17.90, which is served between 6-7:45pm. Both of these menus include a starter, main course, dessert or coffee and soft drink, beer or wine. 

                   
                               
               

The service here is polite, efficient and friendly and there is always a nice relaxing atmosphere to eat in. The staff are always cheerful and extremely knowledgeable about their dishes - and their menu includes a comprehensive allergy guide, which I know is really important to a lot of people. 

          


                                                        
My personal favourites are the Thai Fish and prawn cakes to start, followed by either the fillet strak or thai peanut beef green curry, both of which are delicious and always cooked to perfection!

Reeves Butchers - The English Butcher in Mazarrón

  With the recent departure of the English Butchers on A, I thought you might find this blog of interest if you're missing your favourite cuts of meat and, of course, a good old British Banger! Reeves English Butchers has been around a long while, with their main shop in Torrevieja and more locally doing fresh deliveries to order across Camposol, Condado de Alhama, The Country Club, Mazarrón Town, El Puerto de Mazarrón and just about everywhere else inbetween.  With qualified British butchers, an extensive list of local and British suppliers the quality and range of their products is fantastic. Florist Review - Floristeria Mari Jose

  This morning we were discussing what to buy a friend for her Birthday and that you don't see fresh flowers here in Spain, as much as you do back in the UK. A quick Google and we were heading off to El Puerto de Mazarron ... Situated in the center of El Puerto de Mazzaron is a cute little shop front, with plenty of parking and a beautiful array of fresh flowers.  On entering the shop there was an enchanting aroma of freshly cut flowers and two incredibly sweet ladies. With my limited Spanish and their helpful manner we had no problem at all understanding one another and putting together a perfect selection for our friend and at a reasonable price too.  The flowers were fresh, colourful and smelt amazing and I am confident they will last well and bring our friend lots of joy for her birthday.
