El Jardin - The enchanted garden of Bolnuevo

So we all know a million and one places to go out for tapas. Whether you are looking for the bustling street cafes in one of the town squares, tapas with a view at one of the water front bars or a family run little business in one of backstreets there are plenty to choose from... 

However, this little place I am going to write about has got to be one of the best kept secrets on the Costa Calida!!!

Think enchanted garden, think of literally being welcomed into somebody's home, think beautiful flowers, traditional home-made tapas, cold wine and the most friendly little Spanish chap you could ever wish to come across and you can imagine a small amount of what this little place has to offer.

Situated in Bolnuevo with it's homely feel, friendly service, insanely good food and twittering of tiny birds it's easy to lose hours of the day relaxing here and enjoying a nice glass of vino.
 
 



With plenty of spread out comfortable chairs and tables, this really is like relaxing in your very own garden but with the added bonus of the lovely Frank serving up cold wine & beer and the most intriguing selection of home made tapas.  If you´re a fish lover their is always plenty on the bar to chose from and if you´re a little less adventurous Frank does awesome bratwurst and currywurst hot dogs. 
 
The choice of music sometimes is a little cheesy but lets be honest who doesn´t like a bit of cheese 😂
 
If you ever find yourself Bolnuevo way and looking for refreshments in a tranquil, friendly place then look no further.  Pop in and see Frank and I guarantee you a friendly welcome and tropical spa like afternoon.

THE COSTA CALIDA - The Warm Coast

    The Costa Calida is the coastline of Murcia and runs from the North near Alicante, down to the South bordering with Almeria. Well know areas along this coast include the Mar Menor, Aguilas, Mazarron and Cartegena to name just a few. The original airport serving the Costa Calida (on my first arrival) was San Javier, a military airport also serving civilians. Bar Review - Tel's Bar, Camposol

This bar is a great little hangout, with a positive, fun vibe to it and plenty to offer during hot sunny days, late warm evenings and even on the cooler or wetter days. Located on Camposol Sector A, Leanne has a fantastic established team by her side and has been running Tel´s for many years now.  Whether you are looking for a full English breakfast, a quiz, music entertainment or just a good drink and chatter this is a great place for all.   I have spent many an afternoon or evening with friends, enjoying the relaxed environment and a glass of something cold.  Nothing is ever too much trouble for Leanne and I have seen her go out of her way on many occasions for her customers - I've even seen her give some of them a lift home to save them a long walk!
