Chica de Mazarrón on Tour - A guide to La Azohía Pt 2
Leading on from part 1 of the blog....
Next stop was Playa de San Gines and a little walk to watch the fishermen along the rocks. With bars and restaurants all the way along, a couple of chringuitos on the beach and a campsite just up the road this is a very popular little beach - even at 7pm in the evening, during the second week of September it was buzzing!
My last stop of the day was Deskaro by Bongora for a coffee. Whilst it was a fabulous coffee, and they had lactose free milk, I was a little disappointed to have dinner plans for the evening as the restaurant itself and the menu looks absolutely stunning. This place is currently top of my places to eat and blog about list!
To summarise my short but delightful visit to La Azohíá I would say it is definitely somewhere I will be returning many times. With the diversity of activities, the vast array of bars and restaurants and stunning surroundings you could stay for a week or visit multiple times and never get bored.
The beaches are pebble and not the prettiest or most comfortable for sun-bathing but the area as a whole more than makes up for it and the beaches are perfect for some fun skimming pebbles.
The scenery, sunsets, activities and local amenities make this an incredible place to relax or explore and have lots of fun. I know this is somewhere I am super excited to share with friends and enjoy all year round.
Un Saludo
Chica de Mazarrón xx
